Getting Practice
I’m the first to admit that I’m a total amateur when it comes to digital photography. And I let myself get intimidated easily. But how will I ever get better if I don’t get myself out there and get some practice?
I am encouraging all you newbies (and even the old pros) to check out DPChallenge. It’s a site that suggests digitial photographry challenges and allows members to vote for winners. It’s free to join, so choose a theme and get shooting!
If DPChallenge seems a little inimidating to the novice, there’s also Flickr. I will be singing the praises of Flickr in my upcoming posts. To get you started though, just sign up for an account (also free for limited storage) and join some groups. It’s a great way to have other digital photographers give you hints and tips on your photos.

Great topic. Photo assignments are something that might pop up time to time here on DPBlogs.
